This easy Greek-inspired tortellini salad recipe is going to become one of your staple potluck dishes. Tender cheese filled tortellini, crunchy peppers, crisp cucumbers and juicy tomatoes, topped with loads of cheese and tossed in a greek flavored dressing!
Tortellini Salad
I love pasta salads of any kind! But Tortellini Salad is one of our all-time favorites!
You can add pretty much anything into a pasta salad… ham and pineapple for an amazing Hawaiian Pasta Salad, cheddar & dill pickles in Dill Pickle Pasta Salad and even Creamy Cucumber Pasta Salad! This Greek Tortellini Salad is another take on our favorite Easy Greek Pasta Salad and loaded cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, onions and of course feta cheese!
How to Make Tortellini Salad
This is a cold tortellini pasta salad that starts with fresh cheese filled tortellini. I love to use grape or cherry tomatoes in this recipe because they’re beautiful and just pack such a punch of flavor. Any tomato will work in this recipe, you’ll want to make sure you drain the seeds if using a larger variety.
To make this recipe extra quick you can purchase feta that is already crumbled and I use a premade greek style dressing. I do make a Greek Pasta Salad with a homemade dressing too, if you prefer homemade you can certainly make your own. You’ll want to add a little bit of extra dressing to this tortellini salad as some of the dressing will soak into the pasta while it sits.
Quick Tip for This Greek Tortellini Salad
While I do love onions, they tend to have a strong flavor and can easily overpower this tortellini pasta salad. I usually chop the onion first when making a recipe and soak it in cold water with a pinch of salt to take a little bit of the bite out. While this is completely optional, this just makes it a little bit milder in flavor and my kids prefer it that way.
Once made, this tortellini salad will last up to 3 days in the fridge, making it the perfect lunch dish!

Thank you, Kathleen! So happy you loved it.
I made this for my lunch for my work week. I added a can of chopped artichokes. So good and filling!!!
I love this light salad. It is a great meatless dish, however I do plan on adding some grilled chicken and grilled shrimp on my next two times I make this.

Thank you Linda! I have lots of great salads that you will love!
I made this last week and hubby already wanting me to make it again today! I happened to have some fresh parsley so I added about 2 tbsp of it diced. Today I don’t have the grape tomatoes but will make it anyway. Love this salad!
So glad your family loved it Linda!
I don’t have any bell peppers or fresh tomatoes (but every kind of canned). Any ideas for substitutions?
Any fresh veggies should work perfectly in this salad.
I have made this twice in 5 days. I made it for my family reunion and my team at work. It was delicious. I used frozen cheese tortellini instead of fresh. I bought a big 64oz. bag at Sams Club for $9.00. But I went back a month later for another bag and they stopped carrying it. So at GFS (Gordon Food Service) I found, I believe, a 42oz bag for $11.00. The tortellini was excellent. If you make this, you will not be disappointed.
That is so amazing! :) Thanks for your kind review.
This is amazing. I made it and can’t stop eating it!
Can I make this the day before? or would it be better day of? thanks!
Personally, I think pasta salad is better the second day as the flavors have had time to mingle together.
I am on my second time making this. It is so yummy. This time I am deciding to add some grilled chicken. The store I went to didn’t have any greek dressing so I am using Italian. So a combination of different countries lol
Grilled chicken would be great in this recipe!! :)
I haven’t tried bell peppers in my Greek tortellini salad yet. Good idea, it adds even more vegetables!
I make my dressing this way
◾1 T red wine vinegar
◾1/2 t pepper
◾1 t salt
◾2 T olive oil
◾1 t oregano
Your homemade dressing sounds delicious!
Yuuuum! My eyes are loving all of these!
