If you love Jalapeno poppers.. you are going to go crazy for these!  Crispy, creamy, cheesy and spicy…  pretty much everything you need to concoct the perfect bite!

I’m kind of addicted to spice..  I use Sriracha like ketchup and can’t really eat anything without adding some sort of heat to it.  One of the all time favorite recipes on this site is Jalapeno Popper Dip so I know you guys like it a little spicy too!

This appetizer is easy to make, you’ll want to make sure the cheese is really well sealed so it doesn’t leak into the oil causing splatters.  These egg rolls are mini (about 2″ long) so they use wonton wrappers and not egg roll wrappers.  Wonton wrappers can be found in most grocery stores in the produce area (or near the tofu).  If you don’t see them, be sure to ask because most stores do have them!

  1. To cook them in the oven give them a light cooking oil spray like pam or an olive oil one ect.. at 400/425 also for really crunchy dust them with corn starch then spray , works for anything you want crunchy baked like roasted potato’s, sweet potato fry’s that seem to always be soggy take forever to cook . also when you make your beef tips with gravy when you season the meat add TBS or so of corn starch mix it up let it sit 1/2 hr or so , it will tenderize the meat and brown much better for the mallard reaction .5 stars

  2. These are DELICIOUS! And very easy to make. I do need to work on my wrapping technique, had a couple leak all the cheese out but that was my error. Highly recommend these for a snack or appetizer!5 stars

  3. Is it possible to do these in the air fryer? I would brush with oil before cooking but does anything else have to be adapted? The air fryer I have is the style of a mini oven and has 2 trays.

    1. Hi Wendy, we haven’t tried this recipe in the air fryer but I would imagine they would cook similarly to these Air Fryer Egg Rolls. If you try this recipe in the air fryer, we would love to hear how they turn out!

  4. This met the craving I was have 100%. Thanks so much for the easy recipe that had just the right amount of spice.5 stars

  5. These were awesome! I thought the wrappers would be too small but they was not. They were the perfect size. Thank you!5 stars

  6. Wow these are amazing! I used 1/2 fresh and 1/2 jared jalapeños since we just picked a bunch out of the garden. I have enough ingredients to make a second batch so I will be freezing those to fry at a later date.

    1. That sounds like a great idea Mary. We have not tried baking these but another reader has with great results! Enjoy :)

  7. I think I’m doing something wrong but I don’t know what. I’m hoping you can help me. When I drop them in the fryer an air bubble forms inside the egg roll.

    1. Hi Megan, were the egg rolls completely sealed and/or rolled tightly before being dropped in the fryer? That can cause air bubbles to form.

  8. If I made these for a potluck for work could I put them in a crockpot on warm to heat them back up?? Do you think that would work and if so how long

    1. I think they might get soggy in a crock pot. Do you by chance have an electric frying pan? That might work better to keep them crisp.

  9. I wonder about using the jalapeno flavored cream cheese? I’d probably add extra jalapenos because I like more heat, but for those who like moderate, the flavored cream cheese is awesome.

    1. Flavored cream cheese may have a different consistency than regular cream cheese, so I can’t say for sure if it will work. Let us know if you try it Ro!

  10. Holly, I made these recently as an appetizer for a dinner party. I used fresh jalapeños and egg roll wrappers. I put the wrappers in a muffin tin, just put the wrappers in the oven at 425 for about 5 minutes until they started to crisp a bit, then stuffed them with the filling. I then popped them back in the oven at 350 until everything was nice and melty and the wrappers were even crispier. Great recipe. Thanks so much!!

  11. Has anyone tried these using an air fryer? I got one for Christmas and was wondering if they come out with the same crispyness?
