White Sangria is the perfect cocktail for brunches, patio parties, or just a hot summer afternoon! Sweet and delicious summer fruit is soaked in white wine, apricot brandy, and peach schnapps.

Top it off with some club soda or prosecco for a deliciously refreshing adult beverage!

White Sangria with strawberries, limes and oranges

Red wine sangria is the most commonly made sangria, but I love the crisp lighter flavor of a white wine sangria, especially in the heat. In the summer months, it seems we’re always entertaining or enjoying drinks on the deck with our neighbors.  I’ll often mix up a batch of this white peach sangria (and some fresh mojitos) and everyone loves it. It is light, full of delicious fruity flavor, and definitely packs a punch!

One great thing about this white sangria recipe is that it can be made in advance and refrigerated. This allows the flavors to blend and since the bubbly isn’t added until serving, it stays perfectly fresh!

White Sangria with a strawberry in a glass

Summer cocktails with few ingredients (like my favorite Easy Strawberry Margaritas) are my favorite kinds of recipes.  When it is time to serving time, just add some bubbly and it is good to go!

If you prefer a less intense sangria, just add a little more club soda when you serve it up. If you prefer a stronger one, add a little extra apricot brandy (I won’t tell anyone) or use prosecco! If you’d like to sweeten it, top it with a bit of ginger ale or other sweetened soda of your choice.

If you have any extra fruit, you could always add it! I love experimenting with different fruit when I make white sangria. I have had success adding apples, plums, apricots, and even halved grapes!

What is the Best White Wine to Make Sangria?

When you go into the store, ask for a dry, unoaked, and crisp white wine. I will often use a pinot grigio or a sauvignon blanc for this white sangria!

You want to select a fairly inexpensive bottle as you will be adding so many flavors into the sangria, but don’t opt for something too cheap, but something you’d still be able to drink on its own!

How To Make White Sangria

Start by prepping all of your fruit. You don’t need to worry about making sure it is in bite sized pieces, but keep the pieces as pretty as possible! No need to peel your citrus fruits (just give them a wash first).

Add the apricot brandy, peach schnapps, and chilled white wine to your pitcher. Next, stir in your prepared fruit. Stir and chill your white sangria for about 4 hours.

When it comes time to serve, add a little bit of the fruit from your pitcher into each glass. Fill each glass about ¾ full of the sangria mixture, then top it off with prosecco, club soda or ginger ale. Enjoy!

  1. It’s tasty! One word of caution, we like to soak our sangria with fruit overnight and realized if you do this with lime the lime is VERY strong. I actually kind of preferred it before the fruits settled. Going to try to cut it with gingerale.4 stars

  2. Best I’ve ever made
Had a girls day 6 women all asked for recipe I gave splash gingerale and splash club soda when I served5 stars

  3. This was a huge hit, even among people who lean away from sweet drinks! I used a little more peach schnapps than it calls for and didn’t find any apricot brandy, and it was delicious anyway. I also added green apples and a pear, and both sucked up the flavors beautifully. Truthfully, mine turned out a little more like a drunken fruit salad, and it was a wonderful experience. I also used some orange-flavored bubbly water as a topper, and it enhanced the flavor.5 stars

    1. Hi Marlena, there isn’t an exact amount for the club soda. It will depend on the size of your jug. We add fruit to the base of the jug then fill ¾ full of the sangria mixture and top with club soda. If I had to guess in a 4 quart pitcher you would probably need between 3-4 cups of club soda. You can add a little less for a stronger Sangria flavor or a little more to dilute it, if you prefer. Hope that helps!

    1. Prosecco adds a sweeter flavor which I enjoy but it does increase the alcohol content. Club Soda is also delicious!

  4. What’s your fav white wine to make with this? I’m no wine expert so don’t want to mess it up!

      1. What is a serving size? I’m trying to figure quantity for 25 people. I saw how to adjust the ingredients, still not sure serving size.

        Suggestions?

      2. The recipe makes 8 servings, so tripling the recipe would be appropriate. Each serving is approximately 7-8 ounces of the fruit and mixture and will vary based on how much fruit you add. Enjoy!

  5. I LOVE this sangria!! I made it with moscato for my extremely small and intimate wedding this year. It was a huge hit! I was asked for this recipe numerous times! We made it the night before in two large glass pitchers, the ones with the spouts where you can serve yourself. It was so easy. I topped my glass with club soda to break up the sweetness a bit. It was the only thing I drank besides champagne on my wedding day! Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe! It will forever be my go to sangria and has given me lovely memories when I think of it! :)5 stars

  6. White sangria can not be made with an Italian fizzy wine the people of northern Spain would be none too pleased! It’s CAVA and only CAVA as it’s a traditional Spanish drink especially in the North and don’t know if the Italians would be too pleased 4 stars

  7. Can this be made in a gallon for a party and add the club soda all together so guests can serve them selfs?

    1. I prefer a dry white wine in this recipe. If you try it with a Riesling, let us know how it tastes Julie!

    1. Yes, you can Jess. It gives the flavors all a chance to blend! Just wait to add the club soda until serving.

      1. I use an apricot brandy, but Lorena, any type of brandy or liqueur works well in this recipe. I’ve used orange liqueur, cherry liqueur, and more for this reicpe. They all add a lovely flavor. Enjoy it!

  8. This is my favourite drink for chillout nights, it’s light, delicate and delightful! I normally use red wine but whine one looks interesting also, maybe I’m going to try it next time ;)
